Oficialmente, no hay un himno nacional de Escocia que sustituya al God Save the Queen, tradicionalmente empleado para representar al Reino Unido. Existen, eso sí, varias candidatas, entre las cuales ha surgido un intenso debate social y político, y algunas de las cuales se emplean ya frecuentemente como himnos en eventos políticos o deportivo
